The Stadttheater Amberg – one of the most beautiful small theatres in Germany!
The Amberg municipal theatre was built in 1803 in the former church of a Franciscan monastery. This was dedicated to St. Bernard. It was not until 1803 that the city of Amberg took over the building and converted it into a theatre. To this day, great events take place in the municipal theatre. The portfolio ranges from earworm-worthy musicals to top-class concert series and amusing comedies.
The municipal theatre is always open one hour before the start of the event.
Also integrated into the building are the Club Casino-Saal and the Restaurant Casino Wirtshaus.
